Project - FM 93.5 Radio 70 (2017-2019)

Summary

Radio 70 was born from the idea of creating a platform where the hits that made history would play 24 hours a day, unforgettable tunes from the 70s (with a bit of the 60s and 80s)
I invite you to get back to an era of great bands and artists: Radio70.com.ar

Role

Led the project alongside the radio director. I was in charge of coordinating all areas of the station: Production, technical, advertising, and administration.

History

In early 2017, the the 93.5 FM director approached me with the opportunity to create a new platform where only music from the 70s would play, as there was nothing similar in our country at that time. I was fascinated by the idea. Let's get to work!

The first step was to analyze the potential audience. After a bit of research, we identified two well-defined segments: Young people aged 18 to 30, with a good musical culture, perhaps inherited from an older family member or simply out of personal taste. And adults aged 45 and older who want to commute to work while listening to 'Hotel California' on the radio. These two segments represented a dilemma: Should we emphasize on FM or pay more attention to online streaming?

Ultimately, we chose to pursue both options. Having a frequency within Buenos Aires while broadcasting to the world through our website with a top-notch foreign streaming service.

After several meetings with the design team, we defined the radio's aesthetic, the structure of the website, and its sections. Emphasizing that 'Hit play' should be the most important aspect of the site.

At the same time, to keep users entertained on the site, we created the weekly TOP 20 Ranking, where listeners could vote for their favorite song from the website or through social media. The enthusiasm of the people and how much they love their favorite bands is truly amazing!

From the beginning, we paid a lot of attention to building our presence on social media, with active accounts on Facebook and Instagram, where we publish quality content such as bios, news, events, and contests.
